This Privacy Policy explains how Solavell Jewels LLP ("Solavell", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data belonging to visitors, customers, and account holders in connection with our website (solavell.in) and boutique operations, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable Indian law.

Definitions

"Personal Data" means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data, as defined under the DPDP Act. "Data Principal" means the individual to whom the personal data relates. "Processing" means any operation performed on personal data, including collection, storage, use, sharing, or erasure. "Consent Manager" means any platform through which a Data Principal may manage consent, where applicable.

What We Collect

  • Contact details: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address
  • Order details: purchase history, product preferences, payment status (excluding full card or payment credentials, which are handled solely by our payment gateway)
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies
  • Customer service data: correspondence via WhatsApp, email, or in-boutique interactions
  • Warranty and loyalty data: invoice records and reward points balances, where applicable under the Solavell Lifetime Care Warranty

Purpose of Processing

  • To process, fulfil, and deliver orders
  • To provide customer support and manage warranty or return claims
  • To send order updates and, where consented, marketing communications
  • To improve our website, products, and customer experience
  • To comply with tax, GST, and other statutory obligations

Legal Basis and Consent

Solavell processes personal data on the basis of the Data Principal's consent, for the performance of a contract (such as an order), or as otherwise permitted under the DPDP Act. Consent for marketing communications may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Solavell shares personal data only with: our payment gateway (for processing payments), our courier and logistics partners (for delivery), and advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, and Pinterest, where the Data Principal has consented to marketing cookies. Solavell does not sell personal data to any third party.

Some of the third parties described above, including Meta, Google, and Pinterest, may process personal data on servers located outside India. Solavell transfers personal data outside India only where permitted under the DPDP Act, and does not transfer personal data to any country or territory restricted by the Central Government.

Data Retention

  • Order and transaction data is retained for as long as required under applicable Indian tax and company law.
  • Marketing data is retained until the Data Principal withdraws consent.
  • Warranty-related invoice data is retained for the Lifetime of the Product, as defined in the Solavell Lifetime Care Warranty.

Data Security

Access to customer data on Solavell's systems, including its point-of-sale and website platforms, is role-restricted; boutique staff do not have access to financial exports or backend administrative settings. Payment data is handled directly by Solavell's payment gateway partner and is never stored on Solavell's own servers.

Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to: access the personal data Solavell holds about you; correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data; withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time; request erasure of your data, subject to statutory retention requirements; nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity; and lodge a grievance with Solavell's Grievance Officer, and thereafter with the Data Protection Board of India, if unresolved.

The Website uses cookies for cart functionality, analytics, and, where consented, advertising retargeting. Cookie preferences may be managed through browser settings or the Website's cookie consent banner.

Changes to This Policy

Solavell may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to customers through the Website or by email.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra.
